Background

This repository was created to provide sandbox for Tiger team to introduce new documentation structure: base migration was done 6 months ago - https://github.com/casper-network/docs/pull/912 - and since then we were backporting more advanced changes part by part. Shortly it became a testing environment (under staging subdomain), however this was never my intention, and it is time to deprecate it.

Deprecation Roadmap

• [x] Gather all differences between the latest docs-new (https://github.com/casper-network/docs-new/commit/b1401cb19f9610c9abb1cc13a06e2898c67d8214) and docs repository, and decide what to do with them:
  • Infrastructure related changes: we used dev-new branch (instead of dev), updated URLs to staging subdomain, updated codeowner to Tiger team - nothing to be done.
  • Rust examples in unified SDK page: this is already backported https://github.com/casper-network/docs/pull/1236 - waiting for final review.
  • Improved guide on testing contracts: this was backported https://github.com/casper-network/docs/pull/970, but rejected as decided these changes should be part of separate resource page.
  • 2 SDK pages hidden from sidebar: Python and JavaScript were hidden, as content is already in unified SDK page - we were told to wait with such changes until all SDKs are migrated, so I ignore this change.
  • 2 links updated: minor change, that was hard to backport as no justification were given by author - I will simply ignore this too.
• [x] Merge dev-new back to dev - empty merge by ignoring changes, as everything should be already synced - not worth as this messes up git history .
• [x] Setup test environment in docs repository, so no one complains about this repository missing :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: - this is partially done in https://github.com/casper-network/docs/pull/1257, but I am hearing that test environment is no longer necessary.
• [x] Migrate all opened issues and pull requests:
  • [x] https://github.com/casper-network/docs-new/pull/214 was moved to https://github.com/casper-network/docs/pull/1258
• [x] Update README with disclaimer informing why repository is getting archived - done in https://github.com/casper-network/docs-new/commit/f2a7837768fd062ee94f701f290028ec195b1323.
• [x] Archive repository.
