2 years ago I've been thinking about it myself too for a long time, it would actually be quite easy with custom biomes. If I ever add a better event system, this will for sure be the first one to be added.
Have the ability to tint the moon a different color for calendar events? Example I run the server on hard mode during the October month, even call the event Blood Moon. If there was a visual cue for them to see, that would be amazing.
