Unexplained growth of the address space #78

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The problem is that when running mysql linked with tcmalloc, there is a
large allocation of the address space that cannot be accounted for by
memory usage. By large I mean more than 3GB.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I use version 0.98 of perftools on an x86_64 server running Linux 2.6

I cannot produce this problem after upgrading the compiler and libraries used
with MySQL.
