Styling #182

Makes the styling a little more future-proof, plus less broken on other stylesheets.

With the latest changes, this should also fix #165; not by GResourcing them, but by using smaller symbolics on non-elementary.

Merging this as I've been using it for a while and it feels like a good improvement.
