MySQL Database test hanging, no clue as to what problem is #182

The MySQL Database test is hanging after entering the correct info, and it gives no clue as to what the problem is. What can I try here?

I'm using the correct server host address, db name, user name, and password. When I click "Click to Test Connection", it just shows "Testing..." and hangs there.

I can log in to the db just fine by going to the address and logging in with phpMyAdmin.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Turns out this was due to the database name being too long when set up.
