We tried this with a real event and when the end time came, some users were still able to find a way in to register... Which killed us since we had a pre-registration incentive by midnight two days before the event. I tested after the time expired and the system correctly had the "Register" button missing. HOWEVER, I had about 8 registrations the next day even though I could find no path to a full registration page. I wondered if users had previously pulled up the page and it was cached. Regardless the system should do a time check at the moment of submission to validate that registration expiration isn't past.
