I do not understand why a PHP file is formatted this way.

Where are you seeing this and how did you get the files?

its under zen/admin/cp-classes. I got the files from Githhub https://github.com/castlamp/zenbership

I just went through that one directory, but if there are other places that need to be updated, please point me in the right direction ...
