A small, mobile desk robot that helps alleviate the physical, emotional, and mental problems frequently faced by desk workers. This is my NYU Tandon Senior Design Project.
[x] make accountability page for work and rest - to ensure user is working on right task (need yes/no option for correct task)
[x] add "play no sound" option for configuration page
[x] snooze for rest period
[x] show recent statistics - on both robot and browser based interface
[x] gamification of consecutive pomodoro breaks
(not consecutive if user is not back by grace period (configurable))
(end of rest period - 1 minute of song playing to indicate rest is over with lights)
Talked about needing "tutorial" about the initial setup pages: name, pomodoros, and alert pages. We are somewhat concerned about overly complicating the web page, but we have agreed that some of our users/personas are not tech-savvy and would require a tutorial.
If possible, we want to include an actual tutorial with a greyed out background and a highlighted circle indicating what feature we are currently looking into. We also want to provide the option of skipping the tutorial.
Cleaned up log in web page process
Decided on statistics graphics - calendar like github green garden
if the user does the task they set out to: "Good job you have completed [task]!"
if the user does something else: "Ahh... is that so... Try again next time..."
set a time to edit tasks/general guiding question (ie. were you on youtube?) --> because it is a general guiding question, we don't need to allocate time to change the task
How often do users access the Eui webpage? --> We can make it easier if we have an app --> Don't specify tasks during work/rest period, instead just ask them if they worked on "important and urgent tasks"
gamification of consecutive periods
highest pomodoro streak and date (date is optional)
today's pomodoro streak
(optional) show recent statistics (last day eui was used) on both robot and browser based interface (idea came as we talked to the prof last week)
Added "no song" option for Sound subsystem
What are going to display when the OLED starts up?
(not consecutive if user is not back by grace period (configurable)) (end of rest period - 1 minute of song playing to indicate rest is over with lights)
