Tested this on vanilla world on newest build and have come to the same conclusion. Floodlight is in the middle of the bus and what is blocking light is basically anything that would normally block the line of sight as if floodlight was on the floor level and not on the roof.
Describe the bug
Using a flood light on a vehicle only lights the inside of the vehicle, despite being on the roof. I had a prison bus, with blast shutters on each window and a total of 4 floodlights. Turned them on, no lighting outside the car at all. It was all inside the car itself. When I changed them to be just on the outside of the car it worked, but only in a small arc in front of the vehicle.
It seems as though if you have anything that blocks light from the inside of the car (blast shutters) it stops any other light stops being cast.
Steps To Reproduce
Spawn a bus. Cover all windows with blast shutters Add 4 flood lights. Two in the front and two in the back Activate lights while all blast shutters are closed Notice the lights not working
Expected behavior
You will see that the lights almost act like they are coming from INSIDE the car and not the outside. Thus locking the lights to the inside of the car if you have all the windows covered.
Even adding them to the very end of the car and the very front of the car you still need to open the windows to get the full affect of the light.
Screenshots
Lights are off
lights are on (note there is 4 two in the front and two in the back)
Front of the car with lights on and blast shutters closed.
Opened the blast shutters with lights on (to show its blocking the light) (its acting as if the light is coming from the INSIDE of the car)
