I seem to have solved my crashing problem I'm currently down to the mods:

It was the removal of Abrahms Recipes 1 that got me down to no crashes for a couple of hours of play. The other ones that I removed did seem to make it more stable however. Not sure if there's a problem with the mods themselves, a conflict with other mods I had enabled, or if Bright Nights struggles with too many mods enabled.
Was cutting a log into planks, game crashed to desktop with no error message. Did one log fine, next log crash. I had also been having crashes while crafting and mutating during lab starts but had assumed that was because of a lot of enemies moving around above and below me, especially in labs that had a fungus problem and were below prisons. To my knowledge there wasn't anything moving about near my character on any Z-level in this situation though.
Steps To Reproduce
Cut log into planks using toolbox. Sometimes causes a crash but not always.
Expected behavior
Game does not crash while cutting logs into planks.
