no hgignore file? #11

I don't see an hgignore file in the repo, and get correspondingly huge output 
from `hg st`, with all the intermediate cmake noise.  Any thoughts on creating 
one?  Do you manage this some other way?

I have a .hgignore file but haven't checked it in - I'm never really sure if 
it's supposed to be part of the project or whether it's something that 
individual users will want to tweak for their environment. (Like emacs users 
ignoring *~).

I'm not a super hg pro but in the projects I've seen, they've been checked in, 
and I would tend to prefer that myself.

If you prefer not to check it in, how bout posting it in the wiki?
