update the custom metrics doc to be more accurately reflect timers #85

Users seem to be confusing the partial timers functionality documented as "custom metrics" to be a place to attach random statistics and metadata about a test, rather than to time individual (partial) portions of an entire test. This should be cleared up in the error to add grouping support.
