sometimes transition is very choppy -- not sure if there is a way around it though? also:

[ ] loading symbol when going from single --> matrix? (seems to be somewhat slow in this direction for some reason)
[ ] @wowjyu: on zoom, naturally go from matrix to single & vice versa (w/ smooth transition)

Update: you can now zoom in and out of single/matrix view directly but it's still not the smoothest transition (and still some lag)

(it helps when there's less data :)
