I think it should look like this: If you were arrested in Cook County (including Chicago):

The Juvenile Expungement Help Desk (<-with hyperlink to facebook page) can help you fill out your papers. The help desk is located on the first floor of the Cook County Juvenile Center at 1100 S. Hamilton in Chicago. You can just come in during the open hours: Mondays: 9am-4pm; Tuesdays: 9am-4pm; Thursdays: 9am-noon. You must bring your arrest information (rap sheet or arrest date and charge for each arrest) in order to get help! If you have any questions, call the Juvenile Expungement Help Desk at 312-229-6359. This is a free service & the lawyers there are eager to help you!

More language-only revisions: To expunge your juvenile record, you need to fill out some forms - a Petition to Expunge Juvenile Arrest Record, a Notice, and an Order of Expungement - and submit it to the court Clerk's office in the county where your arrest happened.

And more: If you were arrested outside of Cook County:

You can use this free online form preparation program (hyperlink: https://www.lawhelpinteractive.org/login_form?template_id=template.2012-12-18.6714253555&set_language=en) to make and print customized forms or download these blank forms (same hyperlink as currently above) in any county in Illinois. To get help filling out your papers, search for your zip code here and contact the appropriate legal aid organization!

fixed!

wow! Cathy: Mikva has money to advertise Expungio, so I am going to try and get you more comments over the next 8 days. I am also going to loop in people at Illinois Legal Aid with hopes that we can use an information submission program they have that is more secure and confidential than the Wufoo forms. I will be in touch tomorrow to get everyone together in one conversation about that.

Thanks so much for being so on-top-of-it, generous with your time, and skillful!

Also, for the very first line about forms, they are actually all available at the link, so I'm not sure how you want to structure the hyperlink, but they are all at that link and I don't want users to think we are only giving them access to 1 of the 3 necessary forms.

sharlyngrace commented 10 years ago

maybe the link is in "some forms" and the forms are in parentheses?

cathydeng commented 10 years ago

sure, fixed!

cathydeng commented 10 years ago

lol ok changed again to make it more clear

sharlyngrace commented 10 years ago

Oh, shoot, I wasn't clear. Can there be a second link (going to the same place as the one you just moved around" that is hyperlinked from the words "these blank forms" in the last paragraph? And the end of that sentence should say "blank forms for use in any county in Illinois."

Also, (I think the last comment!) Is it possible to bold the sentence about bringing in the arrest information?

Awesome!
