Device does not retrieve or clear engine trouble codes

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Device will only report if their are errors when Engine MIL is on.

What is the expected output?
Device should indicate the trouble code and give the ability to clear it.

Next Step:
Research on the proper messages to send to ECU to accomplish this.

I believe that  the PID's you will need to send to the ECU to accomplish this 
are available at the following location. I have a Volvo with an onboard 
computer that does most of what this project currently does, but my brother's 
same car has a screen which is broken so I may try to work up an OBDuino for 
him next week and if I can, try to test out reading the engine codes since my 
car is old enough that all kinds of things seem to be comming up (note, PEP 
boys or similar establishments will ususally retrieve these codes for you for 
free if you ask nicely, sometimes they try to charge politely insist otherwise)
