Some machines may benefit from specifying an alternate location for temporary
storage, especially to make use of in-memory ram-disks (e.g. tmpfs) or to favor
writing temporary files to faster SSDs before writing out the final encoded
files to a slower hard disk for long-term storage. As a result, Rubyripper
should support specifying alternate locations for temporary directories.
