Trackpad not found (Acer 512 Spin) #18

Prepped a microsd card with Ubuntu 20.04 and Gnome. On boot, trackpad does not work. I needed to plug in an external mouse. Using lshw and xinput, Ubuntu does not even see my trackpad. I tried installing Synaptics just in case, but that didn't work either. I'd love some help, thanks.

Should be fixed now since I compiled in Synaptic drivers. Try running bash updatekernel.sh on your Linux PC (not your chromebook).

Unfortunately, updating the kernel using the script did not fix the issue.

I'm not sure, is it possible to integrate a patch into the chromeos kernel?

Yeah, I was just enabling random options related to synaptic, PS/2, and i2c touchpads. Plug in the Breath USB and try running bash updatekernel.sh again.
