ok, I've come back to life. Number 2. I've actually been musing the idea of a scientific programming toolkit. (This is in the vein of my ideas to create a flexible cfd library suite and so on.) Anyway, I see the common library as the first step in the toolkit. I guess I'm just trying to say the name makes sense.
