Hi,

I had a look at the CommuniKate manual and powerpoint implementation of CK20 and CK12, and I guess that we would need the following modifications done on cboard to adequately support this feature (written as requirements). Note that I am aiming to propose modifications that would not end up cannibalizing cboard.

  1. cboard shall support the color scheme of CommuniKate. The following colors are supported in CommuniKate:

    • Gray (#BFBFBF)
    • Brown (#B27B06)
    • Blue (#0000FF)
    • Magenta (#FF03FF)
    • Cyan (#01E7FF)
    • Teal (#CCFFCC)
    • Violet (#660066)
    • Green (#007E00)
    • White (#FFFFFF)
    • Blue #2 (#3164FD)
    • Yellow (#FFFF00)
    • Pink (#FF7DEC)
    • Orange (#FF6600)
    • Yellow-Orange (#FFC000)
  2. cboard shall support contour coloring, in addition to background coloring. This is to support the Yes/No buttons, and no/don't on the WML page.

  3. cboard shall support the custom pictograms from CommuniKate. While being mostly from Mulberry, there are slight modifications done on some pictograms in CommuniKate.

  4. cboard shall display Yes/No buttons on each side of the sentence bar.

  5. cboard shall provide the following special buttons:

    • Delete word, removing the last word in the sentence bar, acting like "backspace" on a computer
    • Clear, removing all the words in the sentence bar

There are other features as well, like a photo gallery, DVD player, etc. but I think that the bulk of CommuniKate is to have all the pages in place with their links, providing a pseudo-PODD experience. I guess the most important requirements are the color scheme, the custom pictograms (that can easily be customized since Mulberry is widely available) and the layout for the sentence bar.

Hope this helps!
