@rBatt apologies I haven't pushed much here, but can flush out the sketch I began on the model approximation probably in next two weeks. Guess it would be good to have a rough timeline going forward to have this in shape by July 1

Sounds good. In the next 2 weeks I can get the model pushed up here, and probably start working on some simulations and a stability analysis if we need it. I think we should shoot for some sort of outline/ draft with figures by the first week of June. Thoughts?

Sorry I've been silent, but I'm just now getting this project to the top of the priority list, but it's getting there! :)

I have lost the conversation, but you asked me

  1. to check if we're using the same notation
  2. to get the 5D model

We're not using quite the same notation b/c I put everything together into 1 continuous time model, rather than splitting the model into continuous and annual (discrete) dynamics. Beyond that, our notation is quite similar, though I simplified some of the constant b/c I became sick of writing them out. But they way you have them will be easier for the reader. Also, I haven't worried about expressing the stochastic terms yet.

The 5D model here here But I haven't tested it yet, and it's still on my dev branch. See #5 for problems I'm having with checking the stability properties of the simplified 3D (fish-only) model. Will extend to full 5D once that's under control (the extension should be trivial once I have the 3D one figured out).
