neon_read() .id argument needs examples #8

Documentation is a bit light on .id use, needs examples (& unit test). Should it be possible to bubble up multiple metadata fields with vectorized .id argument?

Really, neon_read should be pulling in domainID, siteID, horizontalPosition, verticalPosition, and publicationDate values for sensor data
