Fan in A/C Mode #63

Closed xrsprint closed 4 years ago

xrsprint commented 4 years ago

Hi There

loving the new upates, keep up the great work !

one thing though that may be a quirk or an issue im finding is the fan as you can only set to fan or dry, if i have the AC on cool and want to slow down the fan speed, by using the fan control it changes the mode to Fan or Dry

is there a possibility so that when using the fan it stays on the mode that its currently on such as heat, cool or auto?

cheers

Hi @xrsprint, I share your comment, and would love to see the functionality in place too. This has been reported in https://github.com/cbrandlehner/homebridge-daikin-local/issues/52, but it seems to keep getting closed by a "bot" due to inactivity. It may be that this lapse in functionality is specific to certain wifi adapters. In my case, my adapter is the Daikin BRP072A43 wireless interface model. Best regards, Andreas

And, in my case, the firmware version for my Daikin BRP072A43 wireless adapters is currently 2_9_0

@xrsprint @awarburt I made a small change to the code that might fix the problem. Please try with version 2020.16.3 or newer.
