A possible solution is:

Automatically capture enemy territory when you have it surrounded with your squares. This might improve the gameplay. Need to research it first.

To add some short rules. E.g.: 1) You can automatically capture squares completely surrounded by you, if amount of your squares is more then amount of surrounded squares.. 2) You can 'eat' pieces of semi-surrounded territory.
