failed to register gadget, please check the manifest file #40

Which gadget does this problem concern?
Actually all... 
But i need Volume control right now... 

I worked at one time, and suddenly not to work, when I click on the ADD I
got a error message.

Error Message: failed to register gadget, please check the manifest file

This is a Google Desktop problem. Go to your "My Documents\My Google Gadgets" 
folder
(might be translated) and delete the file for the gadget you are trying to 
install.
Then click "Add" again in the "Add Gadgets" dialog.

@ codename.matrix.  I've tried to do so but it doesn't work, I got the same 
message.  Another advise please?
