Which gadget does this problem concern?
GMail Icon

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. In Google Mail, I viewed my account activity and then clicked on the
button "Sign out all other sessions".

2. I have not been able to see mail from GMail Icon since

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Only see "Password !".

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
GMail Icon 1.6.0.0, Vista 23 bit

Which version of Google Desktop are you running and which language version
of Google Desktop is installed?
Google Desktop 5.9.0909.08267-en-pb (english)

Please provide any additional information below.
Since that time, I have a problem with Gmail Notifier with an error - "An
error has occurred. Cannot read your messages: (bad data; 1)" and and GMail
Icon with a "Password!" message. Both problems started at same time with
clicking on "Sign out all other sessions" button. I have tried
uinstalling, logging in/out, rebooting, nothing seems to work.

To add more information: I completely removed Google Desktop and installed ..
but
that did not help.

I did try using a different Google Account .. and GMail Icon did work! So it
appears
to be account related. Using HTTPS or not does not seem to have any effect.

That is really odd. Maybe you could clear the internet cache of Internet
Explorer and
then re-enter your credentials into GMail Icon. Maybe for some reason the
response
was cached and GMail Icon now cannot login correctly. The very odd part is that
it
works with a different account. Since I cannot reproduce the issue this will be
difficult to fix.

This is driving me up a wall .. makes no sense. If I go to a different PC then
I can
get GMail Icon to work with my main account .. so I know its related to this 1
PC
(which is the one I live/die by).

To clear my cache .. I went to IE Tools-Internet Options, Browsing History
button. I
then checked everything in the pop up box. Still does not work. I also put
privacy
on Low and tapped on "restore" in my advanced settings. Still GMail Icon shows
the
now dreaded "Password !".

Any other hints?

I fixed it!!!! ... All I did was change my password and it worked. Of course
this
makes no sense .. but I guess it doesn't matter.

>> Any Ideas? <<
Well, reading the thread there is a bug somewhere (but nobody knows for sure
where) .. just keep trying to change variables in you environment.
