subject filters don't work on catalog when accessed via url instead of via extension #247

Specifically tested with those custom filters /quest/i;op:only;highlight; /CYOA/i;op:only;highlight; which were based on the example filter /general/i;boards:v;op:only

they only work when the catalog is viewed through http://boards.4chan.org/tg

and not through http://boards.4chan.org/tg/catalog

http://boards.4chan.org/tg/catalog is the native catalog; 4chan X filters don't apply there. You can add filters separately to the native catalog, or use the 4chan X catalog (http://boards.4chan.org/tg/#catalog). You can make the [Catalog] links point to the latter by checking Use 4chan X Catalog in the settings.

Thank you and my apologies, I know this isn't tech support and I thought this was an actual bug.

I do have "Use 4chan X Catalog" box checked, it changes the link but does not automatically redirect if I somehow go directly there (for example, if i use the google chrome most common visited quicklink)

Is (http://boards.4chan.org/tg/#catalog) supposed to redirect me to (https://boards.4chan.org/tg/)? because it does.

Also, the filters don't work in 4chan's native catalog (which from your post I think it implies they are supposed to).

I think this information should be added to the built in filter's guide

A redirect might be a good idea (only if "Use 4chan X Catalog" is checked, of course).

Yes, it takes you to http://boards.4chan.org/tg/ in catalog mode.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. The native filters work in the native catalog. They're separate from 4chan X's filters. You can get to them from the [Filters] link.

I think this information should be added to the built in filter's guide
