Can there be an option to replace the quotelinks, backlinks (eg. >>8494838) and post numbers with the counter system textboards use?
For example, ">>883992 (OP)" would become >>1 or "Anonymous 11/02/15(Mon)05:31:11 No.1", getting rid of the "(OP)" part. Same idea goes with other posts, linking to >>2 etc.
The real post number can only be seen in the URL or when you hover (native browser behavior).
The idea is to clean threads up more. Maybe you could be able to customize them, too, like the way you can customize backlinks already ("@9", for example).
Of course, this may probably only work in threads and not in the index/catalog. (Or not? I don't know) And there must be some way to handle crosslinked posts, whether if they're from the same board or from another. Maybe just link it like ">>Crosspost" instead.
