Should use the add_conditional_with_else-function instead of hardcoding the if-else-branches.

This is officially the worst ticket ever. Can't be refactored with what we have. Function won't need to be changed ever. Closed. THE CODE IS WORKING AS INTENDED AND DOCUMENTED. ALSO, I HATE C++.
