After a long email discussion we decided to show only the acute Sanskrit accent. However not all code paths that are responsible for showing Sanskrit words are currently filtering the unwanted accents.

A quick recap from Felix:

Devanagari:

raised उ → / → U+0954 DEVANAGARI ACUTE ACCENT
x॑ → ^ → U+0951 DEVANAGARI STRESS SIGN UDATTA
x॒ → \ → U+0952 DEVANAGARI STRESS SIGN ANUDATTA

ISO 15919:

raised उ → / → U+0301 COMBINING ACUTE ACCENT
x॑ → ^ → [DISCARDED]
x॒ → \ → [DISCARDED]

For the records, ISO 15919 suggests:

udatta = U+0301 COMBINING ACUTE ACCENT
svarita = U+0300 COMBINING GRAVE ACCENT
anudatta = U+0332 COMBINING LOW LINE
