Alright. I appreciate all the help you've provided thus far.
@ccfox May I temporarily transfer ownership of the Communist_changes_fork repository to you during my absence? https://github.com/Outta-my-way-burrocrat/Communist_changes_fork
Sure, though I don't know if I will be able to add to/update it.
Transfer started, and I sent a message your way.
Any problems with the transfer?
It doesn't show up under my repos, but I assume I have access to it?
If I read the docs correctly, GitHub should've sent you a confirmation email which allows you to choose to accept control of the repo or not.
When you transfer a repository to a new owner, they can immediately administer the repository's contents, issues, pull requests, releases, projects (classic), and settings. You can also change the repository name while transferring a repository. For more information, see "Renaming a repository."
Prerequisites for repository transfers:
When you transfer a repository that you own to another personal account, the new owner will receive a confirmation email. The confirmation email includes instructions for accepting the transfer. If the new owner doesn't accept the transfer within one day, the invitation will expire. To transfer a repository that you own to an organization, you must have permission to create a repository in the target organization. The target account must not have a repository with the same name, or a fork in the same network. The original owner of the repository is added as a collaborator on the transferred repository. Other collaborators to the transferred repository remain intact. Single repositories forked from a private upstream network cannot be transferred.
Okay, got it.
@ccfox @settintotrieste Before I shut down, I'll leave a link to a geography project hosted on GitHub (I don't endorse it I thought it might be worth checking out) https://github.com/aourednik/historical-basemaps
I want to be clear, I'm not stopping because of you or settintotrieste, but I'm going to stop posting code here on the 28th. Thanks for collaborating with me.
