Call of Duty winetricks prefix problems #145

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Selecting install game > selecting Call of Duty (cod1)
2. mounting location for drive as the CoD1 disk in real CD-ROM
3. Winetricks window continuously asks for COD1 disk to be mounted

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
An error asking for the disc to be mounted

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
latest? on Ubuntu 11.10

Please provide any additional information below.

I have tried mounting both the discs in winecfg and still winetricks will not
recognize the disc. I do notice it is asking for COD1 as opposed to the label
of the disc, which is CoD1... notice the lowercase "o"

Hmm.. I think I understand the gist of what this is supposed to do, but not
sure where I am supposed to place this? Or is this supposed to be merged into
some sort of config file for winetricks? I checked and there does not seem to
be any hidden folder for winetricks in my Home folder

You need to apply the patch against winetricks. Either use the patch command,
or just manually edit winetricks and change 'COD1' to 'CoD1'.
