Civ 3 off set window

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Simply starting the program.
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would like to have the screen where i can see the whole thing. But it is 
shifted up and to the left while the side bar is also still visible/

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
i am using 1.5.6 wine and Ubuntu 12.04 lts

Please provide any additional information below.
I am running Civ 3 through steam

That sounds like a wine problem, not a winetricks problem.
