feature request: use other wine binary #23

is it possible to  use different wine binaries, other than system installed?
coz, most distro ships with old version wine.

Yes, you can already point winetricks to a different version of wine by
setting WINE=/path/to/other/wine.

Also, if you happen to have wine-hotfix-6971 installed,
winetricks will use it for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
and Mass Effect 2 Demo to work around The Mouse Bug.
This special patched wine is (or will soon be) included in the ubuntu wine ppa,
and once it's widely available, I'll use this system to
work around The Mouse Bug for other games, too.
