vcrun2005 and vcrun2008 not found

When trying to install vcrun2005 or vcrun2008 I get this error:

17/06/2011 23:14:16 ERROR 404: Not Found.

I get an issue with vcrun2008 about a sha1sum mismatch. If I find the file 
myself and install it, it works. However, when I try to install allcodecs, 
which depends on vcrun2008, it still tries to install it anyway, and fails.

However:
vcrun2008 install completed, but installed file

If I search in /home/lviggiani/.wine/dosdevices/c:/windows/winsxs/ folder I can 
only find x86_Microsoft.VC80.* subfolders, but nothing about *.VC90.*

I'm having a similar problem.  I install vcrun2008 ($winetricks vc2008) but 
receive the following error:

When I search for the directory where mfc90.dll lies, I find that it is in 
different directory: 

../winsxs/x86_microsoft.vc90.mfc_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_9.0.30729.6161_none_4bf7e3e2bf
9ada4c/

To work around the failure of winetricks, I had to manually locate all of the 
dll's and copy them to my system32 directory.  I hope this problem will be 
addressed in future versions of winetricks.

Confirmed. I use (KDE) Ubuntu 12.04, wine 1.4.

Rather disconcerting, I looked in the folder tree where its looking, there's a 
folder in there named "dead_meat"...

Hacked much?
