This seems to be reflected in a large jump in cumulative deaths in the report 2022-10-18 (493 -> 576).
I emailed NB about this last Tuesday, should aim to follow-up next Tuesday.
The PHAC dataset also has a large increase in deaths from 2022-12-10 -> 2022-12-17 (628 -> 722). This is not present in the current dataset, which uses weekly report data (for the firs time). Will look into this and whether the PHAC dataset should still be used for #120.
The 94 deaths after that week is awfully close to the 95 reported since August 28 in the first version of the report without cumulative death counts. It could be that this is a typo in the PHAC dataset.
If this additional data issue is corrected, we could revisit using the PHAC death dataset as a PT-level replacement (#120).
Merged into #117 as a long term goal.
NB has released a report updating their death numbers. Additional information will probably be required to correct the historical time series.
