Issue 44 from gitlab Possible alternative to parakeet. Other software may also be possible

I'm not sure anymore this is a necessity. I think there is a chance we get asked to review the different methods that are being used to do simulation. Maybe in the future there could be some reason to investigate the use of other simulation software, but for now I'd say we tick to parakeet
