seer crashing on opening .mp4 files #258

Seer (v 2.4.1) will crash everytime i try to preview/play a .mp4 file on my WIN10 desktop (latest version). Any ideas? Thank you.

replace this dll file.

That did not fix it.

Are you sure you replaced the dll correctly? It's a known bug, and can be fixed with the new dll. make sure that Seer has quit while you are replacing the file.

Otherwise, please wait for a week. Currently I am working on the HiDPI support.

Yes, i am sure. Deleted the old, copied the mdk.dll into the main folder. Restarted Seer, rebooted PC. Seer still crashing when hitting SPACEBAR with any .mp4 selected.

I have almost finished the HiDPI monitor support. And I added a output for video module and Seer.

  1. Download this zip, and copy/replace all files to Seer folder
  2. Launch Seer
  3. Try several other file formats, then trigger a mp4 file that would cause a crash
  4. Goto Temp folder(Settings - Advanced - Others - click the folder button on the right), afterwards a Seer.log and Seer_mdk.log will be there.

Please send them to me so that I can try to locate where the problem is

I just released Seer-2.5.0. Reopen this issue if it still happens
