Seer 2.8.2 stops running unexpectedly when quickly open/closing Quicktime video #341

After running the latest update (2.8.2), Seer seems to often unexpectedly quit when previewing quicktime files with VLC. Restarting Seer fixes the issue. Seer simply stops running without a message, goes away from the dock.

Before Seer silently quits, I sometimes will see a video display as just black first and then spacebar functionality stops because Seer isn't running.

This is using Windows 10 Pro, Nvidia GPU. Several other members on my team have noticed the same thing.

Is there a place to download old versions?

I finished it yesterday, it should be 2.8.3. But I am still testing it.

This is what has changed. And the video previewing is also fixed.

you can delete all files in the installation folder manually, then run the setup file to install in the same folder

This seems to have fixed it! I did not delete files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Seer before installing, but I can't get it to crash again now using the same files that were causing a crash before.

I also notice that the Nvidia GPU message does not appear on preview launch now, which is also nice.
