In the two sub-bullet points in the place specified in the title, it uses the phrase "Freshman/Sophomore years," but I do not think the word "years" needs to be there since the context is about the students and not the year of the college attendance.

Reading further along, I can see why "years" was included. I don't want to close it in case it generates a productive discussion or exploration regarding how Berkeley chose to phrase this part, so I leave that to you.
