Aliens kidnap an innocent rogue after fishing in Silvermoon #718

A funny thing occur when I was testing fishing inside city's. I was on my rogue Sena who had a few points in his fishing skill + fish enchant on his fishing pole. I went to the pond in Silvermoon City right next to the Lord Mayor of the city, and I found that my skill is not high enough to fish there, it required 20+. So I decided to log on my Alliance character to test fishing and ships. (I was able to create H and A characters on same account in January). And here comes the interesting part. When I logged back to Sena my character was mounted on a Wind Rider flying in a straight line trough textures. First I thought I would fly to the gate to EP and dismount there but I was wrong. I kept flying and flying until I reached Outland. There mount started to swirl and I tough it will pick some of the fly pats in OL. Unfortunately I was dropped near Hellfire Peninsula. First time I did this the server crashed when I died. The second time I managed to resurrect at spirit healer.

Just a thought, maybe its not relevant: On other servers, this issue doesn't actually crash the server, it only disconnects you. (And it usually happens when you logout/get dc'ed while on a flight.)

I know about this bug on other private servers too. I've experienced it as well. However here I was fishing in SC and then logged off and when I came on again I was mounted and flying trough textures. I thought I will land outside the city at the flight master. In IRC ppl said they are disconnected as well. Think it can be easily traced in logs. my time is +3 UTC and time in videos is AM.

It sounds like your taxi data is left in an invalid state. But nothing in the story or video makes me realize what would cause it to get into that state. And I'm unable to reproduce it. If you have footage from before it happens, that might help. If not, maybe someone will be able to provide it next test.

Start to think its something character specific, the same thing happens on Sena but this time in Shatrath. He flies to the same spot in HF and falls. First time when I fall server crashed, second I resurrected normally. If others can't reproduce it I will just erase character as it's my only hordie on the account TEST2119

I have had this so many times on other privates, right after a DC or even an Alf+F4 logout. The server seems to be running behind on updating all the changes and your position becomes invalid (placing you underground) and tries to bring you back to a flighthub. I have had this with Orgrimmar, when fishing outside of rachet. The server crashes, putting me on a flightpath (i was fishing!) and brought me all the way back (underground) to Orgrimmar, from there it brought me back (normal path) to rachet.

I was fishing inside Silvermoon. Does fishing in cities trigger this behavior? Also is there some tool for debugging game from client side? Because videos aren't very productive I think.

Update: After I've fallen from mount server seemed stable and I did /dance , after it server DC'ed or it was just a client freeze?

The game's only value these days for a lot of people is glitching it with ridiculous, incredibly obscure glitches with a whole bunch of variables (ie. dancing at certain moments)
