[Black Morass] Chrono-Beacon and Final Event #867

Yesterday we did a Black Morass Heroic run. Some of us used their Chrono-Beacon during the first two boss-fights, to distract adds long enough to deal with bosses. These Chrono-Beacons worked as intended. The adds went attack the dragon like they should.

After the second boss died I decided I needed another beacon. So I mounted up and could get another one from the NPC. As far as our group members remember this should not be possible.

Anyway, we dealt with Temporus and we killed it. As expected, an RP event should start with Medivh having a chat with a Shadow Council Enforcer (yelling...why they yell?? Guess that's blizzlike anyway). As I remeber Medivh yelled twice, then after a yell from the Shadow Council Enforcer ("...We should return at once to tell our brothers of the news! Retreat through the portal!"), he just went back through the portal. This Shadow Council Enforcer trip lasted like 10/15seconds only and no troops were spawned. From a chitchat on IRC seems like aorund 25 guards should spawn with the Enforcer and probably the entire script should last longer than 10/15 seconds. Strange thing is someone already tested Black Morass...they told me (on IRC) the last even was working fine (and blizzlike).

Later I could add some "retail" video for the event.

Can confirm the event. Did anyone die? I know you can grab another beacon after death, not sure if intended. Will look for proof.

nope, I could get another beacon without dying.

After reading some chatter about the Chrono-Beacon on WoWhead, the comments really do suggest that you cannot get another one unless your party wipes and Medivh is killed. I certainly never saw anyone able to obtain another beacon on retail.

"If you lose your chrono-beacon in a wipe you don't have to reset the instance or abandon your quest. If you just wait for Medivh to respawn, the quest NPC at the start will give you another then."
