Thanks for this awesome template!

I propose adding permissive license to facilitate reuse.

Without a license it is not clear if I have permission to or under what conditions I can reuse this code.

I ended up adding a cc-by license because 1) it's our group's preferred license for writing, which is how I mostly view this project, 2) the license itself doesn't need to be edited by those who use this template because it doesn't include author names.
