I tried 2.0.8 first then tried 2.0.8 beta and then switched to 2.0.7 as users
reported that worked. But neither of them start

Which extension do you use ?
Because in your log we can read:
Apr 24 14:26:13 iPhone UIKitApplication:com.googlecode.siphon[0xb0f3][108]:
S:Notice: Loading: /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/Clippy.dylib

I think it's thies extension :
http://www.tuaw.com/2009/01/20/clippy-brings-copy-paste-to-jailbroken-iphones/

Maybe there are a conflict between an extension and Siphon.

Yes, clippy is a copy and paste program for the iPhone. There could well be a
compatibility issue with clippy and siphone, although I can't say I have
noticed any
others apps with compatibility issues.

could you try to disable or uninstall clippy, and try Siphon?

Removed clippy and I have the same problem. Although when trying from home but
connecting to my works VPN on the iPhone first that seems to work and it
registers
with the SIP server. When I am at work it starts up and then crashes.

I'm having a similar problem and do not have clippy. Siphon loads and runs
normally
if I disable wi-fi and let it try and connect with 3G, but crashes without
producing
a log file with wi-fi turned on. I've tried different logging levels bu to no
avail.

Hi, I'm having the same problem, if I try to use Siphon in Wireless it starts
but in
the sequence crash. If I run it on 3G or edge it works ok!

Guess it is related to the firewall when connecting through WIFI. Seems like
Siphon
is not just connecting to the configured SIP server during startup.

I think the underlying problem is the WIFI DNS returned a DHCP with no domain
search
suffix. The workaround is to go to the iPhone network setting and manually add
the
search suffixes.
