I would like to investigate pcmanfm-mod or libfm module creation.

I'd like to have these features (only some exist as part of pcmanfm-mod):

folder previews via thumbnail collation (coverflow or montage?)
copy paste enhanced with:
- charts or graphs
- max/avg transfer speeds
- estimated time-to-completion (I think this already exists)
- pause/resume functionality

Even after figuring out how to add custom thumbnailers, I have been unable to implement them short of modifying pcmanfm.
