Steve Taylor Ortelius CTO DeployHub
Steve Taylor is seen as a visionary and industry leader in the area of microservices, open-source security, Kubernetes, DevOps process improvement, software build and release, and software supply chain. Steve was designing continuous delivery pipelines for Fortune 1000 companies before the term ‘continuous integration’ was ever used. He is the mastermind behind OpenMake Meister, a build automation solution that has served its customers for over 20 years. Steve is also the architect of DeployHub, the first security and pipeline evidence catalog. Steve is a primary contributor to the Ortelius CDF project, the Pyrsia CDF project, and currently serves as a CDF TOC Board Member. Steve received the CDF Top Contributor award for 2023, and Top Pyrsia Contributor for 2023.
Nominee Statement: “DevOps pipelines must continually evolve. The CDF TOC is critical in identifying new tools and practices that support a modern dynamic pipeline process, like CDEvents. It has been an honor serving on the CDF TOC. This task involves a collaborative and open-minded approach to CI/CD, and active development involvement in CDF projects. It is in this area that I excel. It would be an honor to continue to serve the CDF open-source community and bring forward modern DevOps and supply chain practices based on CDF, OpenSSF, and CNCF open-source tooling.”
I am going to nominate @MarkEWaite in the Jenkins community. I had an action item to do the public nomination on the dev list, but I am completely behind
I'll nominate myself as the representative for CDEvents, as it was blessed in our CDEvents project meeting earlier today.
Emil Bäckmark
CDEvents
CI/CD Architect
Ericsson
Candidate Bio Emil is a CI/CD architect at Ericsson. In that role Emil has been architecting production systems over several years for various internal and external solutions. He has a strong drive for automation in CI/CD pipelines and for interoperability amongst the tools in the CI/CD landscape. Emil is a maintainer of the Eiffel event protocol and is also a co-founder and current co-chair of the SIG Events community and the CDEvents project in the CD Foundation. He has been active in the CD Foundation since late 2019, and was one of the early members of the SIG Interoperability that started early the year after. He has also been a member in the CDF TOC as end-user representative for Ericsson during the last year.
Nomination Statement Emil is volunteering for the TOC as a representative for the CDEvents project. With his involvement in interoperability in general, and with his experience from managing CI/CD systems based on Jenkins, Spinnaker and the Argo projects at Ericsson, he has the ability to contribute to the technical drive of the CD Foundation through the TOC. It is critical for CDF that the CDEvents project is represented on the TOC since there is a strong drive in CDF to make its projects compliant with CDEvents.
