Question for in-game settings or optiscaler settings #16

First Thanks for you hard work, Actually it is not an issue but a question. When Intalling optiscaler, the DLSS option appears in the game settings. Now my question is, I have to use the game settings or the in-game settings of optiscaler. I mean for example If I want to user FSR 3.1 in a game, I should disable that kind of settings in the game settings or not. Or what is the difference between using the optiscaler settings to enable DLSS and chossing DLSS in the game settings itsel.

OptiScaler is a DLSS emulator for FSR GPUs. It translates DLSS functions into FSR ones, but your game still works with the DLSS API.

You have to configure the game as if your system is DLSS compatible, but you also have to configure OptiScaler to tell it how you want DLSS to be emulated. Do you want DLSS to be converted as FSR2, FSR3, XeSS? It's your choice but you have to configure this through OptiScaler.

Hmm. Got it. As you said, I have to enable the DLSS in the settings but after that the optiscaler settings will determine What I want to do with it (DLSS) . Also I didn't understand something. By "FSR GPUs" What do you mean ? (I have a 10x gtx series). And If for example I want to maintain the DLSS functionality, Just Enable the DLSS in-game settings and then in the Optiscaler settings, I choose the upscaler as DLSS. Is this assumption true ? (Thanks for your time)

Hi,

For now OptiScaler is acting as DLSS so your guess is correct. After enabling DLSS from game you can select upscaling method you would like to use via in-game menu or nvngx.ini file of OptiScaler.

By FSR GPUs probably he meant that GPUs does not support DLSS.
