Non-citizenship biometrics appointments in Canada #4

Brief description of use case: You need to give your fingerprints and photo (biometrics) if you’re applying within Canada as a foreign worker, international student, visa-required visitor, or permanent resident. If your are applying within Canada you can go to a designated Service Canada office. ref Service URL: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp End user: Person applying for permanent residency, a work permit, a study permit, a visa or visa extension. Number of potential end users: 20k per month, 240k per year (source: meeting with ESDC) Currently offering appointments: yes Where does/could the appointment fit in the service journey?: Requirement for receiving the main service Does the service require payment?: yes Contact: Melissa.Teasdale@servicecanada.gc.ca

Appointment channel: in person Booking channel: online service Booking URL: Service Canada's online booking service (turn off uBlock origin). What personal information do people need to provide to book the appointment?: (name, case number, passport, documents) Appointment booking: made in real time Does frontline worker do appointments for multiple services?: yes What system is used to manage frontline workers time?: (outlook, custom software, paper files, etc)

I changed the name to "Non-citizenship biometrics appointments" because biometrics appointments for citizenship applications are not handled by Service Canada, but by RCMP, local police, or a private sector provider.
