GC Design System is currently released under the open source MIT License. The purpose of this issue is to:

Gather info to inform a decision about whether this is still the most appropriate license for this product, given the goal to become the GC-wide design system;
To identify any changes/updates to the license that may be needed in this context;
To align on next steps and decisions needed, if applicable.

10/16/24: Mario/Guillaume/Nisa/Sam meeting

Top 2 options are MIT Licence with copyright/trademark addition OR Apache 2.0 licence, but we need guidance from legal re: French versions + moral rights before making a decision
Sought more insight on this via the follow-up questions to legal related to GCDS use of open source fonts/release of in-house icon font
