Questions:

• Who's creating the blog? The DSN team with interviews from the presenters.

• What length? Depends can be upwards to 4 pages

• When does it need to be published Dates are variable. Like my mortgage rate.

• Colleen Pulaski, researcher. Leading the design and execution of research-based initiatives for the DSN. Supporting teams implement digital transformation strategies in their work.

• Antara Garg, student analyst. Working with Colleen to create the Spotlight series.

• Looking to do a written storytelling piece alongside the presentation. Will provide advice on narrative framing.

• 1-2 pieces could be published.

Successful spotlight ideas

• Process-based insights distinct from the political structure. How are we identifying lessons learned by other digital practitioners regardless of the jurisdictional context?
• We love stories on process, and how. How did the process lead to success, what are those metrics?
• Pull back the curtain on the how.

Story ideas:

• Getting to Protected B information?
• Using the blog as another medium for the exploration.
• Product strategy: Starting small and working up. Coming back to work on it later.
• How we are delivering value to the government as we are creating the tool?
• How we are prioritizing delivering value to government employees vs users of public services.

What is the process?

1. Agreeing on a high-level topic
2. Identifying who the interviews will be
3. DSN to Schedule interviews
4. Then the DSN will do a first draft of the writing
5. From the interviews to the first draft is 2-3 weeks.

• Phil looped in to align the presentation to the CDS brand. Currently in the process of touching it up.
• Presenters + Jose met Thursday and Friday of last week to practice.
