Plugin stops working with the new version of jQuery, even with the mitigate 
plugin.

The plugin is working just fine with jQuery 1.9.1.  There must be some fault in 
your page markup or JavaScript coding.

If you would like to test it properly, simply modify the sample that is 
included in the download packet, and change the jQuery version number to 1.9.1.
